Lakeport, CA – July 18, 2020: The North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest, ran its first 2020 event at Lakeport Speedway Saturday with Ukiah’s Kyle Tellstrom jumping out of the Creevan Performance Radical Focus Midget after taking the win in that class, and climbing into his NSMS modified where he led 58 of the 60 laps in the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts NSMS feature event.
Auto racing returns to the Lakeport Speedway Saturday, July 18, for the “O’Reilly Auto Parts Night at the Races” featuring the North State Modified Series, presented by Protect the Harvest. This will be the first 2020 race for NSMS as the Covid-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the first five scheduled events.
2020 will be the seventh season for NSMS. Previous champions are Jay
RACE #4 FOR THE NORTH STATE MODIFIED SERIES, PRESENTED BY PROTECT THE HARVEST, was canceled due to the “shelter-in-place” directive from the State of California. The following is only one version of what could have happened if the event had taken place.
